Alaska deserves leadership that listens, that solves problems, and that puts people over politics. That’s why I’m running for re-election, to keep fighting for a future that works for all Alaskans.

Since 2019, it has been one of the greatest privileges of my life to serve the people of District I, and now District G. Together, we’ve faced challenges, made meaningful progress, and demonstrated what it means to lead with integrity, resilience, and heart. My commitment to this community has never wavered, and today, it’s stronger than ever.

 

From investing in strong public schools, supporting public safety, advocating for affordable healthcare, protecting our natural resources, focusing on a comprehensive and sustainable fiscal plan, and strengthening opportunities for working families. I’ve worked every day to represent the values we share.  As a former small business owner, I continue to support small businesses and opportunities for entrepreneurs to get the funding necessary to move forward.

 

I’m proud to have raised my son in this great state and am grateful for the quality of education he received through the Anchorage School District. That personal experience deepens my understanding of the needs and hopes of Alaska families. I’ve been honored to serve in a bipartisan Senate majority, where my colleagues and I have proven how much can be accomplished when we work together. I’ve also had the privilege of holding leadership roles; first as Chair of the Legislative Council Committee, and currently as Chair of the Legislative Budget and Audit Committee. Public service has been my passion for more than 17 years, from local government to the state level. It has been an honor to represent the people of Midtown, U-Med, Spenard, Taku-Campbell, Campbell Park, and beyond.

 

During my time in the Senate, I’m proud, alongside others, to have delivered real progress through legislation on public safety, education, cultural recognition, equal rights, mental health, and more. These are hard-earned accomplishments, and I believe we’re just getting started.

 

There is still a lot of work to do. The challenges before the legislature are significant, but I promise to continue working with all 59 legislators, and whomever is elected Governor, to get the job done on behalf of all Alaskans.
